Terms of Service

You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding agreement to create and own an account. Independent accounts for children are not available.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Tell us at hello@colormyidea.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

A child may contribute ideas or create alongside you under your direct supervision. You remain responsible for operating the account, reviewing content, uploading pictures, requesting AI assistance, and making purchases. Do not share your sign-in access with a child or let them use the account independently.

You keep ownership of the stories, manuscripts, characters, prompts, images, and other materials you submit to ColorMyIdea. You give ColorMyIdea permission to host, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to provide the service.

Only upload or enter content that you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for confirming that your manuscript, images, references, names, and publishing materials do not violate someone else's rights.

Before uploading a photograph of a child, you must have the parent or legal guardian's permission to store and process it for the book. Confirm the requested permission in the upload form. Do not upload identifying documents, intimate images, or unnecessary personal details.

Accepting these Terms does not replace permission for a particular picture. Before sending an uploaded picture to the AI image provider, confirm permission for that processing, including the parent or guardian's permission when a real child is pictured.

When AI features are enabled, outputs may contain errors, unexpected material, or similarities to other works. ColorMyIdea does not guarantee that AI-assisted text or images are unique, original, copyrightable, trademark-clear, or accepted by any publisher or platform.

ColorMyIdea's publish check is a preparation aid. You remain responsible for reviewing your final files, disclosures, metadata, rights, and platform requirements before publication. Passing a ColorMyIdea check does not guarantee acceptance by Amazon KDP or any other publishing platform.

Do not use ColorMyIdea to create unlawful, infringing, exploitative, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, or harmful content. Do not attempt to bypass security, access another user's project, scrape the service, or overload ColorMyIdea's systems.

Manual writing and saving are free. The new free account allowance is five active projects, up to 100 saved pictures, and 250 MB of shared storage, including books, recovery versions, and pictures. Both picture and storage limits apply. Uploaded and AI-generated pictures and their saved versions count toward the picture limit; built-in illustrations do not. Reusing a saved picture does not use another picture slot. Uploading and reusing pictures within these limits has no per-upload charge. Guest drafts remain in this browser and can be lost if site data is cleared. Save to your adult account for access across devices. When starter credits are offered on Pricing, new verified adult accounts receive the displayed amount once. They are not renewed when used up. Free starter credits and purchased credits share one wallet across books. Free credits are spent first, do not expire, and have no cash or refund value. The sample book does not generate AI content or spend credits. Existing unused trial allowances convert once to credits at a recorded rate that preserves their available action value; previously purchased book and subscription allowances remain separate under their original terms.

Complete Book costs $59 USD once for one selected project and unlocks PDF export and publishing preparation. You can revise and re-export that same purchased book without paying again while it is retained in your account. It does not transfer to duplicates. New purchases include no AI credits; any allowance included in an earlier purchase is preserved. Book access and AI credit balances are separate. No recurring subscription is required.

AI credit packs are separate one-time purchases. The price and credit quantity are shown before checkout. Credits work across your projects, do not silently expire, and are not reduced when future pack prices change. Operation costs vary and are shown before generation. A new pricing version affects future requests; failed requests release their original reserved credits. Manual writing, saving, and reusing pictures consume no AI credits.

Stripe handles checkout. Benefits unlock after verified payment confirmation. Purchase History shows both product types, historical prices, grants, and receipt links. We do not store raw card details.

Contact hello@colormyidea.com about refunds or payment problems. Requests depend on usage, circumstances, and applicable consumer rights. A full Complete Book refund removes its export entitlement; a partial refund preserves it. Neither changes independently purchased AI credits or deletes the book.

A credit-pack refund reverses the proportionate original grant, rounded down for partial refunds, from that pack only. Used refunded credits create a visible refund balance requiring support review; AI use and new credit purchases pause until resolved. Other packs are not silently debited. Disputes hold the affected grant; a won dispute restores eligible unspent credits without refilling spent credits. Lost disputes reverse the affected grant. Manual editing and unrelated book entitlements remain available.

The checkout total is shown before payment. Automatic tax collection is disabled in this release. Printing, distribution, and third-party charges are separate. Paid project content is not automatically deleted when storage fills; deleting your project removes its content and its entitlement does not transfer.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of ColorMyIdea and may restrict or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the service or other users.

ColorMyIdea is provided as-is and as available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ColorMyIdea disclaims implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States, except where non-waivable local law gives you different rights.
